Are you struggling to login to your Genexis router? We’ve got you covered! In this article, we’ll provide you with all the information you need to access your router’s settings and make the necessary adjustments to enhance your internet experience.
How To Login to a Genexis Router
Genexis routers offer a range of customizable settings, including WiFi network name, password, parental controls, and traffic prioritization. To access these settings, you’ll need to log in to your router’s built-in firmware.
Logging in is a straightforward process that can be done using any standard web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. The steps are the same regardless of the model of your Genexis router. Here’s what you need to do:
- Find your router’s internal IP address.
- Enter the IP address in your web browser’s address bar.
- Login using your router’s username and password.
Now, let’s dive into the details of each step!
Find Your Genexis Router’s IP Address
Before you can log in to your router, you need to know its IP address. Genexis routers have two IP addresses, but for configuration purposes, we are only interested in the internal IP address.
To find your router’s IP address, you have a few options:
- Try all known default Genexis IP addresses.
- Check our guide on how to find your router’s internal IP address.
- Use our free software called Router Detector.
The simplest method is to try the known default IP addresses. Here is a list of the known default Genexis IP addresses:
Genexis Model | IP Address |
---|---|
DRG700 | 192.168.1.254 |
DRG716 | 192.168.1.254 |
DRG717 | 192.168.1.254 |
DRG737v2 | 192.168.1.254 |
DRG7820 | 192.168.1.254 |
ED504 | 192.168.1.1 |
HRG1000 | 192.168.1.254 |
Platinum-7840 | 192.168.1.254 |
Pure ED500 | 192.168.1.1 |
Pure ED500 | http://router/ |
Start with the first IP address in the list and try to log in to your router. If the IP address you picked doesn’t work, move on to the next one. Don’t worry about trying all the IP addresses since we’re only attempting to access the firmware settings of your router.
How To Login To a Genexis Router
Once you have an IP address to try, it’s time to use your web browser to log in. Simply type your router’s IP address into the address bar and press Enter on your keyboard. You should see either your router’s home screen or a prompt asking for your username and password.
If you don’t see anything or receive an error message saying “This site can’t be reached,” the IP address you entered is incorrect. Go back to the list of IP addresses above and try a different one.
If you’ve tried all the IP addresses and still can’t log in, our guide on how to find your router’s IP address will help you out.
Genexis Default Username and Password
To login successfully, you’ll need to provide your Genexis username and password. If you’re unsure of your router’s username and password, it’s possible that your router is still using the factory defaults. In that case, try all the default Genexis passwords listed below until you gain access:
Genexis Model | Username | Password |
---|---|---|
DRG700 | admin | 1234 |
DRG716 | admin | 1234 |
DRG717 | admin | password |
DRG737v2 | admin | admin |
DRG7820 | admin | printed on router |
ED504 | user | printed on router |
HRG1000 | admin | admin |
Platinum-7840 | admin | printed on router |
Pure ED500 | user | printed on router |
It’s worth noting that some routers may lock you out temporarily if you enter too many incorrect passwords. If this happens, wait for a minute and try again.
Forgot Genexis Password?
If you’ve changed your Genexis password and can’t remember it, don’t worry! We have a couple of options for you:
- Try to recover your router’s password with our Network Utilities Find Password tool.
- Follow our Genexis Router Reset guide.
Please note that resetting your router can be a time-consuming process and may require assistance from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to reconnect to the internet. We recommend trying other methods before resorting to a reset.
