Globe fires up TMBayan Fiber WiFi in over 200 pioneer hubs nationwide
Fiber internet for as low as P5 per hour.
That’s right – Globe’s TMBayan Fiber is bringing a new level of connectivity to Filipinos, with over 200 stores across the country being launched as pioneer hubs for its newly-launched TMBayan Fiber WiFi. This prepaid WiFi service aims to provide reliable and affordable connectivity for communities through fiber connectivity.
With TMBayan Fiber WiFi, Globe is venturing into prepaid fiber for the first time, powering neighborhood tambayans with fast and reliable fiber internet at affordable rates. This allows community members to stay connected for school, work, gaming, entertainment, and other online activities.
Globe initially launched its prepaid community fiber in 53 areas in the National Capital Region (NCR), 89 areas in Luzon (including Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, and Laguna), 31 areas in Visayas (particularly Cebu), and 29 areas in Mindanao (including Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur).
Globe aims to partner with more local retailers to serve as connectivity hubs nationwide, providing wider and more affordable fiber connectivity across all social classes.
“We are offering a new way to connect to the internet for entertainment, gaming, content creation, online bonding, learning, and ways to earn at home. Barkadas, families, and communities now have a productive way to tambay – by sharing good vibes and fun moments,” said Janis Legaspi-Racpan, Globe At Home Brand Management Head.
With TMBayan Fiber WiFi, TM subscribers, Globe customers, and even non-Globe customers can easily connect by purchasing a promo through the TMBayan Fiber WiFi portal. Simply go to your WiFi device settings, look for @TMBayanWiFi, input your mobile number, and verify access using the one-time password (OTP) received via SMS.
For as low as P5, customers can enjoy one hour of connectivity within the hub, while P20 gets them 12 hours of unlimited connectivity. Depending on the duration, customers can also opt for longer prepaid promos of three to 30 days for P50 to P500. Once a subscription is consumed, users can easily purchase another promo.
Globe is committed to expanding its fiber assets, upgrading towers to 4G/LTE, and rolling out 5G technology and in-building solutions this year, with an allocated budget of P89 billion.
