New Telecentro Router Configuration

As a Telecentro customer, you have the power to change your network name and password in two simple ways:

  1. Through the Telecentro Virtual Branch.
  2. From any device.

Changing the Network or Password through the Telecentro Virtual Branch

Follow these easy steps to configure your router settings using the Telecentro Virtual Branch:

  1. Log in to the Telecentro Virtual Branch using your username and password.
  2. Navigate to the “My Services” menu and select “Internet.”
  3. Click on “Manage WiFi Network” to change your Telecentro WiFi password or network name.
  4. Go to the “Advanced” tab and click on the yellow key icon to change your password or the blue pencil icon to change your network name.
  5. Choose your new password or network name and voila!

Remember to update the password on all your devices after making the change.

Preventing Unauthorized Access to Your Telecentro Router

To ensure the quality of your connection, it’s crucial to prevent unauthorized access. Here’s how:

If you have multiple devices connected to your network, your internet speed may be affected. To avoid this, we recommend changing your username or password every three months. It’s a simple step to safeguard your online experience. Additionally, you can also evaluate your internet speed with Telecentro’s free Speedtest.

Changing the Network or Password from Any Device

Wondering how to change your Telecentro router settings from a device? Follow these easy steps:

  1. Locate the label on the bottom or side of your Telecentro router, which contains important information, including the IP address, username, and password.
  2. Typically, the IP address is 192.168.0.1, and the username is “admin.” The password will be different for each Telecentro router.
  3. Open your preferred browser, preferably Google Chrome, and enter the IP address. If you encounter a “Your connection is not private” message, click on “Access 192.168.0.1” at the bottom of the page.
  4. Enter your username and password, then click on “Login.”
  5. In the left menu, select “Wireless” and choose the Telecentro WiFi network you want to modify.
  6. To change the network name, enter your desired name in the “SSID” field and click on “Apply/Save.”
  7. To change the WiFi password, go to “Security,” enter your preferred password in the “WPA/WPA2 passphrase” field, and click on “Apply/Save.”

Remember to update the WiFi password on all your devices after making the change.

Do You Need to Restart Your Telecentro Router?

If you notice a slow or intermittent connection, we recommend restarting your Telecentro router for optimal performance. Follow these simple instructions:

  1. Unplug the router and wait for all the lights to turn off.
  2. Keep it unplugged for about 30 seconds, allowing it to completely shut down.
  3. Plug it back in and wait for all the lights to turn on.

If you have a repeater at home, you can follow the same process simultaneously.
